
Duties of the CERN NCP
To achieve the primary overarching goal of Latvia becoming a full member state of CERN, capable of long-term collaboration with CERN, a series of interconnected activities in science and education are being implemented.
To use the opportunities provided by CERN optimally and at all levels
Leveraging the technological and collaborative opportunities offered by CERN to strengthen the knowledge base in particle physics and accelerator technologies.

To provide a sustainable contribution to the fulfilment of national priorities in the fields of education, science, economic growth, and R&D
Organize and coordinate visits to CERN for school students, university students, and teachers, as well as participate in public awareness and educational initiatives.
To support the creation of an environment for scientific excellence
Participation in the National Research Program (NRP) "Particle Physics and Accelerator Technologies."

To promote collaboration between Latvia and CERN, scientific groups and entrepreneurs
The foundation of CERN's uniqueness and success story lies in the continuous collaboration between various fields and specialists.
To optimize the use of available human resources, attract new talent, and effectively utilize financial instruments
Oversight of local and CERN educational opportunities and recruitment of potential participants.
